CulturEd's comprehensive Arts and Cultural offer for schools develops cultural capital by delivering high quality creative experiences for students and staff. As a Local Cultural Education Partnership, or LCEP for short, we bring together representatives from St. Helens Music Service, Arts Service and Schools Library Service, Curious Minds, Heart of Glass, The Citadel, National Museums Liverpool, FACT and school leaders. By working together, we are able to offer schools information about the wide range of local opportunities and ensure that St Helens is delivering a joined-up offer to inspire students, teachers and families. We include workshops with authentic creative practitioners, transport to arts and cultural venues, CPD for staff and creative industries careers support. Our two previous offers have been a huge success, with over 30 schools and more than 5000 children, young people, teachers and families engaging with our activities each year. We have continued to develop our offer in order to address the needs of schools and we have also successfully secured funding in order to expand our offer where possible.

A year 6 teacher at Rivington Primary commented - “Last week’s session was the first time one of our struggling learners had joined the rest of his peers in a whole class experience since the beginning of term. Thank you!”
